Rehabilitation and Renovation
At one time rehabilitation meant that a total break-down of the exterior had occurred or it was an effort to up-date for cosmetic reasons. Rehabilitation has taken on a whole new meaning in today's climate. The key words are property values, return on investment, and energy efficiency. The majority of heat loss from a structure is from the windows. The problem is a combination of frame material, installation and glass. Window replacement means money and energy savings. Heating and air-conditioning bills are substantially reduced. Add weatherproofing, and new siding to further decrease energy consumption. Multi-family units have been hit very hard with litigation resulting from accidents due to faulty railing on patios, balconies, and common area fencing. If you have a building with railings that have not been inspected or reviewed in a number of years, please contact us before disaster strikes. We understand that everyone wants an up to date interior, but as you can see exterior renovation has more importance than the mere curb appeal of the past.
Richard Joseph & Company takes the extra precautionary steps when dealing with occupied rehabilitation projects. Each occupant will be made aware two weeks prior to our arrival on site. Our superintendents will ensure that all Richard Joseph & Company employees are uniformed and courteous to the residents. All of our products and tools will be cleaned and locked up at the end of each day.
